Exhibit in Obuse, Nagano

7月から長野県の小布施で展示している2作品が、当初の3か月を終え展示期間の延長が決まりました。12月までを予定しています。

2作品は5月に開催されたフォトジェニック主催「ECHO」で製作されたパネルで、詳細は以下の通りです。

The two works that have been on display in Obuse, Nagano Prefecture, since July have completed their initial three-month run, and it has been decided to extend the exhibition period until Dec.

The two works are panels created for “ECHO,” an event organized by Photogenic in May. Details are as follows:

2点ともに長野県の個人宅にて撮影。 道を歩いていると聞こえた祭囃子。 この日、この時にしか見られない獅子舞をご好意により見せていただけました。 厄払いという役目の畏怖を感じさせる姿をそのままに、写せたと思っています。

Both images were photographed at a private home in Nagano Prefecture. While walking down the road, I heard the sounds of traditional festival music. Thanks to the generosity of the residents, I was able to witness a lion dance that existed only in that fleeting moment—something that could be seen only on that day and at that time. I believe the image preserves the awe-inspiring presence of the lion dancer and the solemn responsibility it carries as a protector against misfortune.
